The question of The Ardennes Monster remains. I have experienced inner monsters at times : fears of what might happen. Also, monsters that seem to dominate our world temporarily, such as competition, selfishness, power – but also the division into winners and losers.

If the cycling event « The Ardennes Monster » contributes to us reflecting on the monsters within ourselves and in the world and leaving them behind to embark on a more just and solidarity-driven world, then I have long reconciled with the name of this loving and beautiful event.
